Hovvdy Boston Concert reviews
Jerry's great, The Colosseum very nice
I saw Hovvdy perform his stand-up act on Dec. 26, 2026 here. Keep in mind though, that he takes a looong time perfecting his routines and does not update them often, so the performance we saw one year ago was exactly the same as this one. Still very enjoyable though. Hovvdy was great and his comedy is well honed, consistent, and appropriate for just about all audiences, I would definitely recommend seeing him. I was hoping I had forgotten or missed some jokes or he would add new material, but no.
The Colosseum is a very nice venue. Price can be prohibitive though. Large, luxurious, red, comfortable seats. Our box seats were very far back on the first of two upper tiers, and if we were to go here again, would try for closer seats. It was filled to capacity for this performance. There were two large monitors on either side of the stage so even though I could not see Hovvdy, who stood in the center of the stage most of the time, I could at least see a decent close-up of him on the right monitor. You can't see the fine details of a performance at this distance. But the large monitors made up for this somewhat and the theater is generally well laid-out and without obstructions.
